PP diaries / extracts

Peter kept extensive diaries from when he was a boy at school. Encouraged by his grandfather he wrote and took pictures almost everywhere he went almost all his life.
Hobo diary, 1940 Winton & Longreach Qld Leaving school Peter spent some time jumping trains, 'riding the rattlers' and seeing a bit of Australia via the bush. War Diaries, 1941 - 1945 PP served in the Middle East, New Guinea, Bougainville & The Solomon Is. He later wrote a trilogy of books based on the diaries kept while on active service. The first of these is back in print, and the diaries themselves are currently being transcribed. New York City, 1948 After the war PP began what was to be 15 years of travel by various means around the world.
